For long Haired Cats like the Ragdolls these work wonderful for Hairball's!

(These are not needed until your kitten reaches at least 6 months old)

Also only 1/2 is needed each day, more than this could upset your kitties tummy.

Hairball is a supplement designed to support optimal skin and coat health, including tone, elasticity, and follicle health, while providing support for hairball management. This formula contains no herbals or mineral oil, both of which can disrupt normal bodily processes in cats, such as digestion and hydration. Hairball includes zinc, which supports the production of collagen and essential to fatty acid metabolism, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids to support skin hydration and GI tract health, and cranberry to support urinary tract health.

Feeding Directions: General skin and coat health: Give 2 chews daily.
Hairballs: Give 4 chews, twice daily, for 2-4 days, or until results occur.

Guaranteed Analysis Represents Minimum Levels Per 2 Chews (3.0g):

I only use SOPHRESH paper pellet litter or NON CLUMPING/NON SCOOP-ABLE Clay Litter for Kittens under 1 year old because it is Dangerous to use Clumping or Scoop-able litter for Kittens, the danger is that they can and will ingest it and then it binds in their intestines causing surgery and or death.

I use the So Phresh paper pellet litter or the all Natural Clay Litter by Cats Pride!

webassets/SoPhreshPaperPelletCatLitter.jpg

So Phresh Odor Control Paper Pellet Cat Litter combats and controls odors. Our paper fibers and special odor control ingredients work together to neutralize unwelcome ammonia odors on contact. Paper Pellet Litter is 3x more absorbent than clay. So Phresh Odor Control Paper Pellet Cat Litter is made with 95% or more post-consumer paper, newspaper and magazines. It is also biodegradable and can be used for landscape mulch, compost, weed blocker or incinerated if not soiled.

Litter is made from specially processed recycled paper fibers that have added odor control agents. Paper Pellet Litter is so absorbent that they do not break apart or cake to the bottom of the litter pan when wet. This leaves a much healthier environment for your cats and clean-up is much easier. Safe for both cats and kittens.

Fill a clean cat litter box to a depth of at least three inches. Regularly remove solid waste. Refill litter box to the original level. Dispose of cat waste and litter in trash only. Used litter is not recommended for garden use. Clean litter box regularly with warm water and mild detergent.

THIS ITEM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN. Keep out of children's reach. Do not consume. Follow directions closely. Please note that a parasite in cat feces can cause toxoplasmosis in pregnant women, children and persons with suppressed immune systems. Always use gloves and wash hands thoroughly after handling soiled litter. For additional information, please consult your physician. Store litter in dry place. To preserve water quality, please dispose of cat feces and litter properly in trash. Do not flush in toilets or dispose outdoors in gutters or storm drains. Made in the USA.

For Food and Water dishes I recommend using- Stainless Steel, Ceramic or Glass because they are easy to sanitize and don't hold germs. I also recommend a DogIt or CatIt water fountain, they are plastic but have filters in them which cleans germs, debris, or hair from your pets water. I do suggest cleaning them thoroughly each time you need to fill them with soap and water or vinegar. If you would prefer to stick with Ceramic or Stainless Steel their are options for these as well, just make sure they also have filtration:-) I recommend a Water Fountain instead of a Bowl of water as Cats are drawn to movement, this makes them want to drink more. The more they can keep hydrated the healthier your kitties Bladder and Kidneys will be. I also suggest only using Poland Spring Water, please do not use your Tap Water as Tap Water can contain sediments and Metals which is very harsh on your cats Liver and Kidneys. Cats Liver and Kidneys do not process things the way that humans do so they can not have the water that you may drink from your Tap, even if it is filtered.

These DodIt and CatIt water fountains can be found at your local pet store or Amazon, although they are much cheaper and easier to find on Amazon:-)

Cat Trees for Kittens under 6 months old, I recommend nothing over 4 feet tall because they can hurt their growing bones by jumping from high distances.

My favorite scratching posts are the ones made with Sisal Carpet, it lasts a lot longer than the rope and stays looking nice. This is a link below to show you what they look like, please feel free to find them in other places if you would like. http://www.purrfectpost.com/

One of my favorite pet peeves is for each kitten/cat in your home, you should have 1 litter box per kitten/cat.

* If you would much rather not deal with kitty litter or cleaning a kitty box, this Kitty Toilet below hooks up to your toilet piping and cleans itself:-) It is Septic Safe

This is one of my most favorite things I have found so far!

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR RAGDOLL

You will need to cover, wrap or put away any wires you have in your home because Ragdolls like Puppies lose their teeth and in this process they will chew on just about anything to get those teeth out (this will go on until they are about 8 months old). My favorite thing to give them are thick cardboard box's, they love to chew, scratch and play in those box's and they are easier to replace than your electronicsLaughing

You will also need to make sure that your Toilet's stay closed at all times when not in use because Ragdolls tend to love water, so if they jump in they may not be big enough to get out and could drown. Also for men/boys that have Ragdolls, they will chase the stream so you may not want your Ragdoll with you in the Bathroom:-) Or just be careful:-)

Ragdolls are also very docile, so they should never be aloud outside because they would think even a dangerous animal is their friend, not to mention everything else that could happen to them unattended outside.

Please, If you Travel or go on vacations it is not a good idea to send your kitty to a day care or any care facility, these places hold many germs that can make your Ragdoll sick and or pass away. Please find a sitter instead to check in on your kitty and let them stay in their own comfortable home environment that they are used to.

Please also do not do kitty play dates as your kitty and your friends kitty most likely do not share the same germs and this could cause your kitty to become ill.

Having a Ragdoll is like having a Child, you are their parent/s, so you are the one/s that needs to make proper decisions to keep your kitty Happy, Healthy and Safe:-)

Ragdolls are healthy cats put are known for their very sensitive systems and Gingivitis. These 2 things need to be monitored and taken care of as your kitty grows.

Contrary to popular belief Ragdolls are not hypoallergenic or Shed free. They do have less proteins and pet danders than most cats but if you have allergies to cats you will most likely have allergies to Ragdolls. Ragdolls do shed, they shed less than a short haired domestic cat but you will find those flying hairs throughout your home, on your furniture and on your cloths. I always keep a pet roller on hand:-) With this being said, because of their sweet endearing nature you will never find my home without a Ragdoll or two even when I no longer breed them:-)

For Grooming your Ragdoll you will need a metal tooth comb, baby powder and scissor nail clippers. Your kittens nails should be clipped once a week, he/she should also be brushed and powdered once a week. You can brush them more often if you would like as they love the attention and will love being brushed rather than run from it if it is done on a consistent basis.

Ragdolls even though they are known as a "Mat Free" kitty will still get small mats, especially on their underarms from time to time. So be sure to brush your kitty.

I've been asked often, do you bathe your kitties? No I do not water bathe my kitties, Ragdolls are very clean kitties and are grooming themselves constantly. Unless your kitty is going to a Cat Show or has gotten into something it really is not necessary to bathe your Ragdoll.
